Painting Tips for Easy Cleanup

I love doing projects...aka, making a mess. However, cleaning up afterward? Not my cup of tea. Hence, any tool that could expedite this process and make it hassle-free feels like winning the lottery to me. Check this out!

Obviously, disposable plastic paint liners are the ultimate pick for effortless clean-up! But don't worry if you run out or forget to restock them — a sturdy plastic grocery bag can come to your rescue as a swift solution!

...and Behr® paint from Home Depot — highly recommend! I've been painting homes for 20 years, and that's my go to every time. I know professional painters are Sherwin Williams fans and I'm sure their products are great too, but Behr is great choice if you're more budget conscience!

You almost always have to do 2 coats, right? Or at least touchups after. So why clean up in between coats?? If you know you're doing your second coat later the same day or the very next day, just use plastic wrap to cover your tray, roller and brush so it doesn't dry out. Make sure to saturate the roller and brush well before doing covering it, and you're good to go!

I also use a grocery bag to wrap around the roller and pull it off the handle, so your hands don't get so messy.
