Unleashing Bathroom Creativity - ON A BUDGET!
Functionality
Our revamped master bathroom is all about function without the fuss. Enter the wet room — where you can step out of the tub without turning the floor into a splash zone. Need a roomy shower that doesn't give you that trapped feeling? You got it. No glass to scrub or annoying shower curtain to deal with — our design is as smart as it is luxurious.
A well-designed wet room delivers a clean look and a spacious, open feel and is seriously spa-like. There's plenty of design flexibility, too, which makes this type of bathroom a good space-saver. I literally redesigned the layout of this room 4-5 times in CAD until I got it JUST RIGHT!

Pros of MY Wet Room:
No glass to squeegee
No annoying shower curtain
Space saving
Unique pony wall shelf instead of a small niche for shampoo
Room for plants – love my “palm” as it makes me feel like I’m on vacationing somewhere tropical
Cons:
Water spray from the shower can get into the rest of the bathroom if you don’t have a glass door, but with a well positioned shower head, it’s not a problem. And if a some water splashes around because your kid your shower, it’s a non-issue because it’s all tile and you just wipe is up as usual.
Design that Packs a Punch
We transformed this space into our personal zen zone. A vanity that's a makeup haven, and a mirror setup that's an art piece in itself. Think neutral tones with sassy hints of green, matched with a mix of champagne bronze hardware and matte black faucets that scream style. And those quartz countertops? Stunning and durable, snagged at a steal from a savvy stone dealer.
DIY
We're not afraid to get our hands dirty. Waterproofing – we left it to the pros. But the tile work? That was our DIY triumph. Tile, grout — we did it all. The challenge was real, but so was the satisfaction.
Money saving DIY: my makeup bench was from our previous house but no longer matched the new style. Instead of buying new, I spray painted the base to match the champagne bronze and recovered the seat with velvet fabric that pulled in all the colors.
From Home Depot with Love
Believe it or not, the tile game-changer and the soaking tub? Straight from Home Depot. Who needs fancy shops when you can achieve luxury on a real-world budget? We took on the tiling, proving that you don't need a pro to make magic happen.

Amazon Finds
Amazon was our go-to for lighting. Functional? Yes. Boring? No way. These lights bring a vibe that's just right. Matte black with a tough of brass — modern done right. And that chic brushed antique brass oval mirror? Yup, another amazing Amazon find — along with the champagne bronze cabinet pulls and gold toilet paper holder.
Crafted Aesthetic
Our crowning glory? The handcrafted louvre-style barn door. Crafted by my dad and me — mostly him, if we're being real — this door isn’t just functional. It's a statement piece, made from basswood and finished with only clear lacquer, to show off all the natural wood beauty.
