Fun Recipe Idea
Here's a simple and healthy recipe for making veggie treats for your rabbit. These treats are packed with nutrients and are sure to delight your furry friend!
Ingredients
1 cup of finely chopped carrots
1 cup of finely chopped spinach or kale
1 cup of rolled oats
1 tablespoon of oat flour (optional, for binding)
1 tablespoon of water (as needed)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped carrots, bell peppers, and spinach or kale.
Add the rolled oats and oat flour to the vegetable mixture.
Mix well until all ingredients are combined. If the mixture is too dry, add a little water to help bind it together.
Shape the mixture into small bite-sized pieces or use cookie cutters for fun shapes.
Place the shaped treats on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until they are firm and lightly golden.
Allow the treats to cool completely before serving them to your rabbit.
Storage
Store the veggie rabbit treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week, or freeze them for longer storage.
NOTE: Always introduce new treats to your rabbit's diet gradually, and consult with your veterinarian if you have any concerns about their diet.
Enjoy making these healthy veggie treats for your rabbit!
