Feel the Power

Ladies, let me tell you, power tools are an absolute blast and incredibly exhilarating! Don't let the guys have all the fun - it's time for us to get in on the action. Whether you're single and independent or lucky enough to have a knowledgeable man in your life who shares his expertise (and his tools), it's time for you to start using power tools.

I've personally been using power tools for quite some time now, and each experience is like a new adventure. The thrill of building and creating something with my own two hands is unmatched. It brings me such a sense of accomplishment that I can't help but smile from ear to ear.

Me using the hammer drill to hang hooks in the basement

Just today, I had the opportunity to use a hammer drill for the first time. I wanted to hang some things on our unfinished basement concrete walls without causing permanent damage, so that we can eventually finish the basement with drywall. My dad graciously gave me his old hammer drill and walked me through how to use it properly. He even recommended which concrete screws to buy. Let me tell you, when you operate a hammer drill, you truly feel its power coursing through your veins!

Ava wasn't there to video me using the hammer drill, so I just took a selfie of my finished project. First, I used the hammer drill to drill pilot holes. Then I used concrete screws to attached the wood to the concrete wall. I already had the hooks on this board as I was repurposing from our previous home.

So ladies, don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone and embrace the joy of using power tools. It's an empowering feeling that will bring a smile to your face every time you create something amazing!
