DIY Valentine's Wreath

Updated: Mar 24

Honestly, I use this wreath for more than just February, it's a very subtle Valentine's wreath with just a few wooden heart cutouts. But since I have SO MANY decorations, and I LOVE to make and switch them out, this is my Valentine's wreath. :)

This is a large grapevine wreath and "hello" word cutout that I bought years ago, probably from JoAnn's. The peony flowers were from Amazon, they are REALLY BEAUTIFUL and high quality. Wood cutouts from Amazon and Dollar Tree, mixed with whatever greenery I had leftover. That's the beauty of "collecting" crafts... you can dig through your stash and find SOMETHING that'll work. ;)

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Cut florals with wire cutters and place where you think you want them.

  2. HELLO wood cutout was wired into the wreath with craft wire.

  3. Once you finalize where you want your florals, hot glue them into place.

  4. Paint or stain any heart cutouts, once dry, hot glue into place.

  5. Use heavy ribbon or jute rope to create a hanging loop if necessary. My door hook is using the wreath itself.

I love making wreaths. It's so much easier than you think and so satisfying — and welcoming to guests! You can keep moving things around until you're happy with them, THEN hot glue into place. And even hot glue isn't super permanent, so nothing to worry about.

I used the creamier colored peonies on my wreath, but below is a whiter version I've also used on other projects. They are all great options and great quality.
