Are you obsessed with everything Joanna Gaines and HGTV like me? If so, you have to get her cookbooks!
Ava and my favorite recipe so far is from Magnolia Table: Volume 1 Cookbook. Official name is Mrs. Gail's Chicken & Fettuccine Alfredo found on page 219. Ava just had her 9th birthday, I told her I would make her whatever she wanted on her special day and this was her request!
When we have "fancy" dinners, I substitute her wine glass for apple cider for fun.

I must admit that these cookbooks are truly remarkable. However, I encountered a small predicament due to their substantial size, which led me to purchase a splendid cookbook holder. This particular holder proved to be extremely efficient as its wooden bars effortlessly lifted up to securely hold open the thick book.
Notably, this cookbook holder not only serves a practical purpose but also adds a touch of elegance to your kitchen countertop. Even when not in use, it contributes to the overall aesthetic design, enhancing the ambience of your culinary space.
I'm thrilled to share with you how amazingly fun it is to prepare the chicken in this recipe. Although I can't provide the exact details since it's copyrighted, I can assure you that it's a truly delightful and family-friendly dish. So, don't wait any longer - grab that cookbook and start enjoying the magic!
And I'm going to share a secret (since I'm a busy mom) I don't actually make the alfredo sauce in the recipe, I use store bought from a jar, just to save time.
Instructions:
I didn't take a picture or video of this, but you start buy using a meat tenderizer to beat the snot out of the chicken...very satisfying if you need to let out a little aggression! LOL Ava enjoys helping with that part also.
To make the chicken, you have 3 bowls.
1) Flour mixture
2) Egg
3) Panko crumbs & parmesan mixture
Ava likes to help prep the bowls and whisk the mixtures...but I do the slimy/sticky coating of the chicken. Messy on the fingers, but very satisfying!
While you're prepping the chicken, you should be cooking the noodles and warming up the sauce (if you use store bought)...otherwise you have to do that separately or be super coordinated to cook the chicken and make sauce as the same time. haha
Frying the chicken.
Ava and I like cheese garlic bread with this dish, so that's her job. I cut the french bread loaf in half, then it's all her. Butters the bread, adds garlic seasoning, then the shredded mozzarella cheese!
