Strength Through Challenges
So let's get real – surgery was a twist in my plot line, no doubt. Crohn's disease threw me for a loop, but that surgery? It made me stronger, healthier, and ready to tackle whatever life threw at me. But here's the kicker: divorce? Yeah, that was a game-changer. It wasn't just a split; it was a wake-up call to own my power and get my life back on track. If you thought my surgery story was something, let me tell you, my "don't mess with me" vibe? It's my superpower now.

Family is Everything
My parents are heroic. My dad, a retired contractor and carpenter, was hit with Parkinson's (not to mention prostate cancer) but still rocks at woodworking like nobody's business. Together, we tackled building a house that's like a physical manifestation of my "take on the world" mindset. My Big Sis is always there for me and willing to help, even when she’s fighting her own health battles (breast cancer and colitis to name a few). My whole world — my daughter Ava — the girl boss in training, who injected her own creativity and fun into this whole adventure. And I couldn’t have done any of this without my mom… she’s the glue that holds us all together.

Designing the Dream
Remember those moments when you have a crazy idea and despite what others think, you do it anyway? Well, that was me designing my own house in this crazy economy. Armed with my graphic designer skills and my dad’s guiding expertise, I pieced together the home of our dreams. It's not just about the structure; it's about turning challenges into something beautiful, something that echoes my mantra: "I can do anything."
